The Knights recently visited the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital
By Chris Bengel • 1 min readThe UCF football team recently paid a visit to the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital and met with many of the young patients. Now, that experience will have an impact on the gridiron.
When UCF takes the field against Sam Houston State on Saturday, the Knights will be wearing helmets with logos that were designed by pediatric cancer patients from the local children's hospital.

UCF previously wore similar helmets for their annual Spring Game, but now will get a chance to wear those helmets on the biggest stage. September is pediatric cancer awareness month, so it's a perfect time for the Knights to sport these particular helmets.
"We just really wanted to bring as many eyes and as much attention to pediatric cancer awareness as we could, and what better way to do that than to put the kids' decals on the helmets," UCF equipment manager Brad Anderson said in a video on the Knights' X account.
