Alan Shearer makes 'turning point' form comment on Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford is approaching a key crossroads in his Manchester United career according to Premier League legend Alan Shearer.
Rashford netted his first Premier League goal of the season in United's dominant 3-0 win away win at Southampton to end a barren run in front of goal for the England international.
His first-half strike at the St. Mary's Stadium was his first United goal since scoring in the 4-3 FA Cup win over Liverpool on March 17.

A mixed run of form across the last 12 months has also cost him a place in the England squad as Gareth Southgate opted against calling him up for Euro 2024 and Lee Carsley omitted him for the September window.
Rashford ended the 2023/24 season with just seven EPL goals, after scoring 17 league goals in the previous campaign, and he remains a divisive figure for United fans.

"I don't think it [the criticism] has been unfair. He doesn't get criticised when he plays like he did v Southampton, that was much much better", Shearer stated on BBC's Match of the Day.
"Hopefully, the confidence comes back, now that he's got that goa, we want to see more of that.
"Because of the standards he's set. We saw him score two seasons ago over 30 goals. We know he can do it, you want to see it on a regular basis. There's a reason he wasn't in the England squad, but when he performs like that, he doesn't get criticized."
Rashford will be looking to play a crucial role for United in a hectic run of games in the coming weeks before the October international window.
The Red Devils host Barnsley in midweek Carabao Cup action before an EPL trip to Crystal Palace on September 21.
