Cooper Kupp injury update: Rams star picks up ankle injury in Week 2 vs. Cardinals
The Los Angeles Rams are taking on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season. The Rams are already without second-year wide receiver Puka Nacua, who is on IR and eyeing a return around Week 6 at the earliest.
Week 2 was an important NFC West matchup for Los Angeles. Unfortunately, it will get that much harder to pull off a late comeback against Arizona as star wide receiver Cooper Kupp has been listed as "doubtful" to return.

Cooper Kupp injury update
Kupp came off the field limping toward the end of the first half. He was on the sideline for a couple of plays but then re-entered the game on the final play before halftime.
While it was assumed that this meant that he was good to go, he either was more injured than previously thought or may have aggravated the injury.
It's possible the Rams were being cautious after falling behind by over 20 points. Either way, Kupp figures to be "questionable," at best, going into Week 3 vs. San Francisco.

We don't know exactly when Kupp picked up the injury. During one of his receptions, though, a tackler rolled up on his left ankle, and he went down awkwardly.
Assuming the Cooper Kupp injury occurred here.

Could be Left high ankle mechanism as the defender rolls through his planted ankle. He limped off, but eventually returned to the game. Something to monitor. pic.twitter.com/pigTs9rPlR
It was a blowout loss for the Rams, but Kupp never returned after being doubtful for the second half. He was seen leaving the locker room in a boot. We will likely get more updates early next week.
