PlayStation skive.
Former PlayStation exclusive God of War Ragnarok has features temporarily exclusive to the PC port arriving today, September 19, including the long sought after ability to tone down puzzle hints from companions.
A PlayStation Blog post outlined "a host of new features" coming to the PC version, including an option in the Gameplay Settings tab that "will reduce the frequency with which you hear puzzle hints from your companions." This is "soon to be added to the console version" but PlayStation did not say when.
Though God of War Ragnarok was incredibly well received, selling a whopping 11 million copies in less than three months on sale and earning a 10/10 in IGN's review, one gripe players had was with companions throwing out puzzle solutions before players had a chance to solve them themselves.

To start:...try asking a question that can be answered with a "Yes" or "No".000/250Developer Sony Santa Monica made clear it was aware of this frustration in February 2023, with narrative director Matt Sophos saying "the timing for the first hint was too aggressive and should have had a much longer countdown timer before something comes up." A fix hasn't arrived for the 19 months since, however, and possibly longer on console.
The PC version is also getting the Cinematic Audio Description setting in the Audio Accessibility menu. This will "play audio descriptions of visual events during cinematics" to "provide additional contextual information alongside the spoken dialogue to create a more detailed experience for players with low vision." This too will come to console "soon."
In our review of the base game, IGN said: "God of War Ragnarok is an almighty achievement and creates a new high that makes many of its peers look mortal by comparison."
