Barcelona’s Dani Olmo set to miss key fixtures after Injury blow
Barcelona’s impressive start to the season has hit a bump as star forward Dani Olmo is set to miss the next 4-5 weeks due to a hamstring injury.
The new signing, who has been in sizzling form since his arrival, picked up the injury during Barca’s dominant 4-1 win over Girona.
The timing couldn’t be worse, with key matches on the horizon, including the first El Clasico of the season.

Dani Olmo absence: A big blow for Barcelona
Barcelona confirmed the news in a statement: “Tests conducted this morning on Dani Olmo have revealed that he has injured his right hamstring. He is expected to be unavailable for about 4 to 5 weeks.”
The Spaniard, who has already netted three goals in his first three games for the club, will miss several crucial matches, including La Liga fixtures against Villarreal, Getafe, and Sevilla, as well as Champions League ties against AS Monaco, Young Boys, and potentially Bayern Munich.

While Olmo will be sorely missed, there’s a silver lining. Fermin Lopez, the standout from the summer Olympics, is nearing full fitness and could return to action soon.
With Lopez’s potential return, manager Hansi Flick will have to shuffle his deck as the team prepares for Thursday’s Champions League opener against Monaco.
Barcelona fans will be hoping that Olmo returns in time for El Clasico on October 27. After all, missing him in such a big clash would be like going into battle without a sword.
