The 2024 MLB trade deadline, scheduled for 6 p.m. ET this coming Tuesday, is less than three days away. We've already seen several big names traded within the last few days -- Randy Arozarena to the Mariners, Jazz Chisholm Jr. to the Yankees, etc. -- and you can be sure more will be on the move between now and deadline day. Here now are the latest deadline rumblings.

The Texas Rangers have acquired veteran catcher Carson Kelly from the Detroit Tigers in exchange for catcher Liam Hicks and RHP Tyler Owens, the teams announced Sunday. This season, Kelly, 30, has a slash line of .242/.327/.393 with seven home runs in 59 games. For his career, he owns an OPS+ of 86 across parts of nine big-league seasons. Kelly is owed the balance of a $3.5 million salary for 2024 and is eligible for free agency this coming winter. With the reigning champions, he figures to provide catching depth behind switch-hitting regular Jonah Heim.

    Blue Jays listening on Kiner-Falefa

Having already traded Danny Jansen, the Blue Jays are open to listening to offers for Isiah Kiner-Falefa, according to Sportsnet. Unlike Jansen, Kiner-Falefa is not a rental. He is signed through next season with an affordable $7.5 million salary. Demand greatly exceeds supply for infielders this deadline. It only makes sense for Toronto to listen and see what teams offer.

Kiner-Falefa, 29, is currently on the injured list with a knee sprain, it should be noted. Players on the injured list can be traded, and Kiner-Falefa is scheduled to begin a minor-league rehab assignment this coming week. He's expected to return soon. Kiner-Falefa is having his best offensive season by a mile and can play almost anywhere, though he's at his best defensively at third base.
