There's a little over a week remaining in the 2023-24 regular season, and the New York Rangers are playing their best hockey of the season.

The Rangers have been victorious in eight of their last 10 games, including a three-game winning streak prior to Tuesday's loss at the hands of the New York Islanders. Goaltender Igor Shesterkin has struggled during stretches of the 2023-24 season, but he has recorded a 2.60 goals-against-average over his last five games. In addition, star winger Artemi Panarin continues to have a career season to the tune of 116 points (46 goals, 70 assists) and is currently on a 10-game point streak

New York is battling it out with the Dallas Stars and Boston Bruins for the Presidents' Trophy to see which team earns the most points across the league. The Rangers currently lead the Metropolitan Division by five points over the Carolina Hurricanes, while holding a narrow one-point advantage over the Stars for the most points in the NHL.
