The Spain international was withdrawn in the second half at the Estadi Montilvi due to a muscle overload after a busy start to the season.

Olmo returned early from Spain duty during the September international break, due to a minor injury, but he was passed fit to face Girona.

Flick confirmed in his post-match press conference the former RB Leipzig playmaker will now be assessed in the coming days with a decision on his fitness made later in the week.

If Olmo misses out for Barcelona in Monaco, Marc Casado could be recalled to Flick's midfield, after being rested for the Girona win.
