Bournemouth vs. Chelsea prediction, odds, betting tips and best bets for Premier League match
With Chelsea still getting their feet steady under new manager Enzo Maresca, the Blues have a tough trip to the south coast as they meet unbeaten Bournemouth in a late Premier League kickoff.
The Blues have been the definition of mixed results three matches into the season, with one of each type to give them four points thus far. The defeat to Man City was followed up by a huge 6-2 win over Wolves, and most recently a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
There have been positives and negatives, but consistency has been lacking, which doesn't quite come as a surprise given the squad turnover as a result of the wild transfer fluctuation.

Bournemouth vs. Chelsea prediction, odds
- Moneyline lean: Bournemouth (+230)
- Score prediction: Bournemouth 2-1 Chelsea
Last season Bournemouth were exceedingly more buttoned up at home, conceding just 24 expected goals at Vitality Stadium compared to 34 on the road in league play. They managed to draw Chelsea at home, while they fell to defeat on the road.
The same is true for the Blues, and with them playing on the road today, they could be in a vulnerable position.

Bournemouth vs. Chelsea best bet
- Pick: Bournemouth over 1.5 goals
- Odds: +120 (BetMGM)
Chelsea have a strong attacking unit, but they are still figuring out Enzo Maresca's tactics at the back. The Blues conceded two goals to Man City and Wolves to start the Premier League season, and they were almost stunned by Servette on the road in Europa Conference League play as the Swiss side scored two in a near-comeback.
The Blues beat Bournemouth 2-1 in their last meeting back in May, but even then conceded an astonishing 22 shots and 2.22 xG to the Cherries as the now departed Djordje Petrovic stood on his head. Bournemouth have been unlucky a few times against Chelsea of late, scoring just two goals in their last three meetings despite 45 shots worth 4.55 xG. They'll have a good chance to turn it around here.

- Pick: Marcus Tavernier to score or assist a goal
- Odds: +170 (FanDuel)
It may not show quite yet on the scoresheet, but Marcus Tavernier has been exceptional for Bournemouth so far this season.
The 25-year-old has been critical to the Cherries' attack, scoring a key goal against Newcastle and consistently producing high-value chances for both himself and teammates. Through three matches, Tavernier has already racked up 12 shots (5th in the Premier League) and nine chances created (T-4th), putting him second in the league behind only Kevin de Bruyne when you add the two together.
He's also played well against Chelsea in the past, racking up — still yet to grab an official goal or assist, Tavernier has piled up four shots and five chances created across his two Premier League games against the Blues. It's coming.
