For the third year in a row, the Edmonton Oilers ousted the Los Angeles Kings in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. This time, it only took Edmonton five games, thanks to dominant performances from Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

The closest this series ever got was when the Kings evened things up with a Game 2 win in Edmonton. From there, the Oilers took full control with McDavid facilitating all kinds of offense against a normally stingy Kings team. McDavid recorded 11 assists in the series while Draisaitl and Zach Hyman combined for 12 goals.

The biggest difference in the series came in the special teams department. The high-octane Edmonton power play converted on nine of its 20 opportunities while Los Angeles went 0-for-12 with the man advantage. Outside of Adrian Kempe, the Kings couldn't get consistent scoring from anyone in the lineup. Kevin Fiala and Pierre-Luc Dubois combined for two goals and one assist as L.A. scored just four goals in the final three games.

The entire slate of results from this first-round series can be found below.
