WWE SmackDown Most Shocking: Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes form alliance vs. Bloodline at Bad Blood
File it under things you never, ever thought you’d see happen. After all, it was only a few short months ago that Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes were looking to add another chapter to their two-year long feud at Wrestlemania 40, and they did exactly that, in explosive fashion, before Reigns disappeared to reload after losing the WWE Championship.
Fast forward to mid-September and, hold onto your butts, folks, because Solo Sikoa’s betrayal has led to one of the most unholy alliances in the history of WWE.

On the season opener of SmackDown, and its return to USA Network, Rhodes defeated Sikoa in a steel cage to open the show only to be mauled by the new-look Bloodline before Reigns entered the cage.
The OTC would rain down hellfire but the numbers were against him, and it was then Rhodes’ turn to help out his longtime nemesis, but then it was Reigns challenging Jacob Fatu to get back into the cage.

Sikoa would have none of it, pulling him out and away, but then going to general manager Nick Aldis and demanding a tag match with Reigns and Rhodes together. Rhodes declined vehemently, and Reigns took to the ring to declare he didn’t need his help anyway because it’s “my ring, my WWE”; but Rhodes didn’t take kindly to that statement.

The American Nightmare reappeared and told Reigns “it was”, and just as they were about to throw hands for the first time since April, Sikoa and the Bloodline launched a sneak attack that backfired and led both Reigns and Rhodes to sign the contract.
And just like that, the two biggest names in professional wrestling, and the two biggest foes, are aligning to take down the very Bloodline that Reigns once used to terrorize Rhodes and the entire WWE — the match set for Oct. 5 at Bad Blood in Atlanta, Rhodes’ hometown.
Absolute CINEMA.
